Step 2: Prepare the squid.
For cooking squid dishes, I prefer to buy unpeeled frozen squid. In my opinion, after cooking, they are much more tender and softer than purchased peeled ones. I washed the squids, removed the entrails and the ridge. I put them in a bowl and pour boiling water.
The top film immediately begins to detach. With a fork (or with my hands, if the water is not very hot), I carefully drive the squid carcasses so that the remaining pieces of the upper film will fall off. Under the top dark film on squid carcasses there is still a thin transparent film. It is easily removed by hand, you just need to pick it up and pull it off the carcass. If this film is not removed, not removed, then the squid meat will seem tougher.
Step 3: Cook the squid.
I rinse the cleaned squid again in clean water and put them in a pot of boiling water for about one to two minutes. It’s not worth cooking squids for a long time, otherwise they will become tough. During the cooking of squid, I do not salt.
I put the finished squids in a separate bowl so that they cool, and then cut them into strips.
Step 4: Cooking vegetables and mushrooms.
I pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan, put the chopped onion and fry it until soft.
Then to the onion I put the sliced champignons and chopped sweet bell peppers. Mix everything and fry until cooked.
Step 5: Squid with mushrooms.
Add salt, black pepper, julienne squid.
Mix everything, fry for about a minute and remove the pan from the stove. Be sure to taste and if necessary add the missing spices. The supper is ready.
Step 6: Submission.
As a side dish, today I will have boiled rice. Additionally I serve finely chopped parsley. If you wish, you can also prepare sauce or gravy for rice.
In my opinion, this dish has an excellent ratio of products. A lot of squid, but at the same time, mushrooms and sweet peppers feel good. The dish turns out appetizing, satisfying and very tasty.
